In August 2024, we traveled to Kampala with our family to volunteer with Connect Africa Vocational School and Namugongo Basketball Program, founded by Keith Mugabe, a member of the Ugandan Men's National Team.

We got ready by collecting clothing for kids, work boots for the vocational school, basketball shoes, and basketballs that we brought down with us.

We had the opportunity to workout with the Ugandan Men's National Team and run a clinic for about 150 schoolchildren, including about 40 girls. 

​

We also did a major fundraiser to raise money for the great work that Connect Africa does! We raised over $3200- these funds will go toward scholarships for kids and materials for their vocational programs.
